What methyldrostanolone is
A DHT derivative
It is built from dihydrotestosterone rather than testosterone, which is why it does not convert to estradiol. There is no aromatisation step to manage and no water held behind it. What it does instead is bind the androgen receptor tightly and put the liver under load.
Seventeen-alpha alkylation, and why the liver matters
The methyl group at the 17-alpha position is what lets an oral tablet survive the first pass through the liver. That same modification is why liver enzymes are the first marker to move on this compound, and why bloodwork is the only way to see it happening.
What it does not do
It does not aromatise, so an aromatase inhibitor is not the relevant control here. It does not hold water, so it will not produce the soft fullness of a wet compound. It also does not stay long: the half-life is short, which is why it is discussed as a daily tablet rather than a weekly one.
Why 10 mg is not a small dose
Ten milligrams sounds like a light tablet next to Dianabol at 50 mg or Anadrol at 50 mg. It is not. Milligram for milligram this is one of the strongest oral anabolic steroids ever sold, which is exactly why the tablet is 10 mg and not 50. Anyone comparing the numbers on two boxes is comparing two different scales.
The practical consequence is that there is very little room to adjust. A 10 mg tablet is the smallest step available, and splitting it to make a smaller one is imprecise.
